vBSSO Connect Joomla 1.x

Plugin doesn't share any user related information with any third party side. It strongly synchronizes theĀ information between your own platforms connected personally to your vBulletin instance.

InstallationĀ 

  1. Download Joomla vBSSO.
  2. Install this package via the standard Joomla! installer (Extensions -> Extension manager or Extensions -> Install/Uninstall (1.5 version)).
  3. If extension installed successfully skip this step. If the plugin or module isn't installed (read after installation messages):
  4. Unzip com_vbsso to any folder.
  5. Navigate to the folder com_vbsso/admin/extensions
  6. Install necessary package (plugin, module or both) via standart Joomla! installer.

Configuration

  1. Log in to Joomla! as administrator.
  2. Navigate to "Components" -> "vBSSO".
  3. Modify your default Platform Shared Key by setting it to more secure unreadable phrase to encrypt exchanged data.
  4. Log in to your vBulletin control panel as administrator.
  5. Navigate to `vBSSO` section.
  6. Expand section and click on the `Connect a Platform` link.
  7. Copy `Platform Url` and `Shared Key` fields from Joomla! (Components -> vBSSO) to vBulletin.
  8. Click on `Connect` button to connect your new platform.

Uninstall

    Joomla! 2.5, 3.x
  1. Log in to Joomla! as administrator.
  2. Go to "Extensions" -> "Extension manager" -> "Manage".
  3. Search `vbsso`
  4. Check all extensions (vbsso Component, vbsso Plugin and vbsso Module)
  5. Click "Uninstall" button

  1. Log in to Joomla! as administrator.
  2. Go to "Extensions" -> "Install/Uninstall" -> "Modules"
  3. Uninstall module "mod_vbsso".
  4. Go to "Extensions" -> "Install/Uninstall" -> "Plugins".
  5. Uninstall plugin "vBSSO"
  6. Go to "Extensions" -> "Install/Uninstall" -> "Components".
  7. Uninstall component "vBSSO"
Plugin doesn't revert already sync data back to its original state if you decide to disable plugin later.
