vBSSO Connect DokuWiki - is a plugin that provides universal Secure Single Sign-On between vBulletin and different popular platforms like DokuWiki - allows users to sign in to DokuWiki using vBulletin credentials.
How it works?¶
The plugin consists of two synchronization vBulletin (acts as a Master) and DokuWiki (acts as a Slave) lightweight extensions where vBulletin holds the master users database and all the user-related operations are managed there.

1. Register new user through DokuWiki
To register through DokuWiki open DokuWiki site, click the register link on the default Login Widget. The user will be redirected to vBulletin Registration Page. Fill in all required fields and press Complete Registration button. User account will be created on both systems - as soon as the user is created in vBulletin, it will be created in DokuWiki and assigned to Users with unconfirmed email group.
2. Register through vBulletin (through the default vBulletin Registration Form)
To register through open the vBulletin site, click the register link above to proceed. The user will be redirected to vBulletin Registration Page. Fill in all required fields and press Complete Registration button. User account will be created on both systems - as soon as the user is created in vBulletin (assigned to the Users awaiting the Confirmation group), user will be created on DokuWiki and assigned to Unconfirmed email … group.
3. Register through vBulletin (by Administrator)
Log in to vBulletin Admin Panel as Administrator. Open: Users > Add New User. Fill in all ness fields. Press Save button. Result: User will be created on both sites.
4. Log in through DokuWiki
Open DokuWiki site, navigate to Login Widget. Fill in all required fields and press Login button. On login, the solution will check the user`s account. In case of possitive result the user will be able to login to both platforms.
5. Log in through vBulletin
To Log in through vBulletin open vBulletin forum, fill in all required fields and press Login button. The credentials will be checked in database and in case of success user will be authenticated on both systems.
To Logout through vBulletin (or DokuWiki) open vBulletin login form (DokuWiki site), press Log out button. User will be logged out both platforms. Both sessions will be interrupted.
7. Recover password
To reset your password, press Forgotten your password link. The solution will redirect the user to vBulletin Reset Password page. Fill in all required fields and press Reset Password button. DokuWiki extension will intercept Reset Password action on vBulletin and will update DokuWiki password correspondingly.
8. Update user`s password/name through vBulletin
Open user`s profile page on vBulletin side. Edit password/name fields. Save. As a result password/name will be updated on DokuWiki as well.
