Setup

The documentation in this chapter contains the information that is relevant for you, if you are want to install and/or uninstall the plugin on your vBulletin.


Compatibility

Compatible with vBulletin 4.0, 4.1 (PHP 5.2, 5.3).

Compatible with vBulletin 4.2 (PHP 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 7.0).

Requirements

  • Installed PHP cURL, mCrypt extensions.

Install

Note please: It’s best to put the site into Maintenance Mode first and take a backup, before you start making any other changes!

  1. Download vBulletin vBSSO (Required).
  2. Unzip and upload everything from upload folder to the / root directory of your forum.
  3. Log in to your forum’s /admincp/ control panel as administrator.
  4. Navigate to Plugins & Products section.
  5. Expand section and click on the Manage Products link.
  6. Scroll down right frame until you find Add/Import Product link.
  7. Click on the link and browse for vbsso.xml file
  8. Click on the import button.
  9. Set up the vBSSO avatars option: navigate to Usergroups > Usergroups Manager > Registered Users > Can Upload Custom Avatars > select Yes.

Note

The plugin should be successfully installed and new vBSSO section should appear on left.

Upgrade

Note please: It’s best to put the site into Maintenance Mode first and take a backup, before you start making any other changes!

  1. Uninstall the old plugin installation (see Uninstall chapter).
  2. Install the latest plugin version (see Install chapter).

Uninstall

Note please: It’s best to put the site into Maintenance Mode first and take a backup, before you start making any other changes!

  1. Log in to your forum’s /admincp/ control panel as administrator.
  2. Navigate to the Plugins & Products section.
  3. Expand section and click on the Manage Products link.
  4. Find vBSSO plugin and select Uninstall it.
  5. The plugin should be successfully uninstalled.

Note

The plugin should be successfully deleted.
